Workshop for better mental health

The Workshop For Better Mental Health

Mental Health

The Book of Man's new major live event is a one-day exploration of mental health issues featuring panels, activities and music, which will bring people together and seek positive change.

Our Festival of New Masculinity was such a glorious experience, that we are continuing this year with a new series of Workshop events, which will aim to blitz the issues men are facing in one day of panel discussions, activities and music.  We want people to come together to build support, encourage openness and make positive change.

We are now announcing our first event of this nature, The Book of Man’s Workshop For Better Mental Health, which will take place on Sunday 19th May at Islington Metal Works in London. The date marks the end of Mental Health Awareness Week, and will be the culmination of all our activity around it.

The workshop will be a festival-style event with a day long series of talks, panels and activities to examine mental health today. The aim is to discuss the issue in depth, looking at its causes and particular manifestations in men, as well as to ultimately seek some positive steps towards better mental health, and all round well-being.

The event is in partnership with our friends at suicide prevention charity CALM.

The workshop will be split across several areas, including:

The BOM Zone – Panels & talks featuring special guests.

The MOB Zone – Intimate & interactive presentations and activities.

The CALM Zone – Chill & chat with our charity partners CALM.

Full details of the panellists & discussion topics to follow, but early bird tickets are now available – click through to buy them here.

You can sign up to The Book of Man’s daily emails below for the latest updates on the event.
